Greenwood set to stay at Leeds United

Highly-rated young striker Sam Greenwood is set to stay at Leeds United this month.

A host of Championship clubs are believed to have taken a look at the 18-year-old, who's currently one of the hottest young prospects at Elland Road, netting six goals in nine games at under-23 level.

Cardiff City were put forward as one of the many teams keeping tabs on the striker, with Harris keen to bolster his options in the final third, although sources in the capital have since insisted he is not on the club's radar.

In any case, it seems the former Sunderland and Arsenal academy star won't be going anywhere this January, with Whites boss Marcelo Bielsa understood to have personally insisted that Greenwood stays to fight for a first-team place, having already told the youngster that he isn't too far away from a meaningful breakthrough at senior level.
Is striker really the biggest concern?
