After reading your book and recalling the conditions teams played in, there was no reason on earth why game couldn't go ahead. Dont think either manager unhappy about postponement.

The normal (Derby) excuse is that it is unsafe for fans except there aren’t any.

Rotherham have had a covid outbreak and didn't want to play midweek. The cynic in me might suggest they didn't want the game on

It hasn't really cleared and there have been a few more snow flurries, but it is still just a heavy dusting (not much more than an inch).

The roads around us are clear, the pavements are covered in snow but are not frozen, and snow settled on cars is slowly melting off.

It will get cold very quickly in less than an hour though, so maybe a 50:50 call for player safety.
