I loved how those who got into the building stayed inside the ropes when walking through.
Meanwhile all Trump does is tweet his disappointment at Mike Pence.

Armed stand off inside the Capitol building. Trump will try to declare Marshall law. The shooting has started.

The Republican Party supported Trump's bullying behaviour and disregard of normality to get results and were supported and imitated by many in the UK.

Those politicians/media giants/lobbying groups are extremely happy tonight because they still set the agenda for potentially the next 40 years in the USA and in the UK and every comment that this was just Trump means their part in things gets forgotten.

    Oh look...

"Nigel Farage and Richard Tice get the green light from the Electoral Commission to rename the Brexit Party as Reform UK." https://twitter.com/christopherhope/...68575693377538

And GB News gets started today which is probably going to take part in the "culture war" Trump lived for in the US in order to spread the hyper-charged libertarian, capitalist views that had many a Republican turning a blind eye...

What a bunch of sad losers they look like. Esp the one in the buffalo headdress.

Could you imagine if 100 black blokes stormed the building, they'd have the army deployed in 20 mins.

So true, and a lot of them would be dead. On another note I've seen a bunch of tweets saying these aren't MAGA supporters but Antifa in disguise to make Trump look bad. These people are insane

    Exactly.

They're inside the Capitol going door to door looking for people. FFS. Where the **** are the cops?

He could end it with a couple of tweets asking them all to disperse, but he wont.
It's like watching Alan Partridge grovelling for a second series.

Having worked for almost 40 years for American companies, I can confirm that many Americans are permanently off their heads and absolutely mad.

I think it ironic that the poor and uneducated vote against their own interests and effectively buy into the propaganda foisted upon them by corporate America and the wealthy. Social programmes are interpreted by them as creeping communism and the paranoia amongst many of those who don't even have any health cover is incredible: they are more likely to take to the streets if their rights to own guns are involved.

That paranoia, which includes the fear of the state/UN/Bill Gates etc moving in to control their lives, is obviously partly influenced by the the collective history of people fleeing oppressive regimes but Canada doesn't seem to have gone down that road.

The cult of the individual and the disregard for others is always a problem but when the uneducated and guns are introduced to the mix it's obviously a tinder box.

P.S. I forgot to mention the role of social media, which can be both a curse and a blessing in life....

The paranoia is manufactured by right-wing media and fringe conspiracy groups. Trump fuels it and feeds off it. Rupert Murdoch bears more responsibility for this than anyone.
