I see that Mr Gethin promised that every person over 70 would get an invitation to go for a vaccine injection by the end of this week. Well he failed on that one too.
I know of at least 6 who haven't had one and they are all in my immediate family!
They are still struggling to do the over 80’s nevermind over 70.....
I know that, you know that, but apparently he doesn't. He promised a guy he had not been forgotten and said everyone over 70 would be offered a vaccine by the end of this week.
I don't expect to get vaccinated before the middle of February as orinignally stated. I just cannot imagine what possessed him to say it. He must be on the same sauce as Drakeford was the other day.

Good news....most in their 80’s will have had it by now, a further ramp up as they get used to sorting it no reason why everyone over 70 will have it done by end of Feb...
It is sad indeed .
I do wonder after the enquiry how the lockdowns and thier effectiveness will be seen, there are reports that non covid deaths will also be high as a result of how we have managed this now and in the future , as the economic and long term health impacts will sadly bring even more misery .

I wonder if there's an element of giving it to well known people to insist that its safe, there was a campaign of famous British Asians making videos to show it was safe due to low uptake in those communities

Yes, I had a call last Monday, given the choice of Splott, Heath or Llandogh, had a jab on Tuesday at Llandough. Gp surgery is also now giving Astra jabs in surgery.
