Thread: Centre back pairing for Wed

    Centre back pairing for Wed

It looks like we won't be getting Simpson in before our next game, so with that in mind - and our slightly suspect defending against Norwich - who should partner Nelson?

One possibility is potential new new boy Ng. Usually a right back but has played center half a number of times at Crewe.

The other possibility would be Vaulks. He played center back up at Falkirk.

Might we see Bacuna back in midfield with a 442 of
    gk: Smithies
    rb: Ng
    lb: Bennett
    cb: Nelson
    cb: Vaulks
    cm: Bacuna
    cm: Ralls
    rm: Wilson
    lm: Murphy
    cf: Watters
    cf: Moore

Bennett was fine and Bagan doesn't deserve to be dropped, go with the same back 4

Ng should start if we can play him. If Moore is fit, I’d play him and Watters

Tell you who would have slotted in better than most.

Yes thought they both did well ,our midfield leaked badly ,Nelson looks a bit off form though .

If Morrison was fit for Wednesday, I’d be very tempted to keep Bennett at centre back and leave Nelson out - I thought Bennett was the better of the two on Saturday.

Bennett has brought some much needed pace to the centre and I would only change Ng for Bacuna. Maybe the future could be Morrison and Bennett. Don’t shoot me!

He’s never played Centre Back and Warnock said he couldn’t play RB as he couldn’t defend!

    Ng
    Nelson
    Bennett
    Bagan

Please. Morrison in for Nelson if fit, Nelson needs some time out of the side and Bennett looked decent there

Flint was squad training yesterday if the video on CCTV was from yesterday - Mozza and Tomlin were running on their own

Bagan is the only one who can pass to a player wearing the same shirt, he should definitely keep his place
