Trying to be healthy
Trying to eat more fresh fish
Cardiff market is shut, Fish@85 shut long ago Asda’s got rid of all their counters, Morrison’s are crap and you won’t find a fishmonger north of Gabalfa
Morrisons are about the best around, but the standard of seafood in supermarkets is absolutely shocking.
at least Morrisons you will occasionally see live razor clams or crabs and a bit kore selection in fish , there was a whole monkfish there the other day.
considering we live on an island the closest most people come to seafood is farmed salmon or tinned tuna. It is pathetic.
there ard A couple of Chinese supermarkets ta
hat have some decent seafood on occasion.
BE foods has some good crabs and fish.
dragon supermarket on cowbridge road as well, but that shop just seems really grubby.
I thought Ashton's in the market was open? I think they have been doing deliveries at least .
Ashtons are doing deliveries...

Literally just got in and found a leaflet from these www.boxini.co.uk
Ashton's on the list
There's a fresh fish counter in Tesco on Western Avenue.
The market stall is open for telephone andcollect roders. Ashton's the name.
There used to be a fish counter at the back of the butchers roughly opposite the Admiral Napier but I don't know if it is still there.
Try these boys https://www.castlegame.co.uk/ Don't bother with the web site, it doesn't do them justice, ring them up. They regularly have langoustine, scallops, haddock, crabs, lobster, and can get other fish to order - they go to the harbour and will buy what you want as long as it's landed.
The game is spectacular too - venison, rabbit, hare, pheasant, partridge, duck, wood pigeon and they shot a brace of woodcock for me last week.
