Well we have four clubs competing in the English pyramid and although taking cardiff and Swansea as examples there are a greater number of people who identify in the South as being followers of us two then yes it would be similar .

I dare say if Dublin and Cork had teams in the English pyramid you would get a hard core of support for them but plenty of Liverpool and Man United hangers on

I bet there are plenty of shamrock rovers fans who get pissed off with clowns wearing man United shirts

Leeds are hated by Bradford City and the feeling is mutual . The fact they rarely play each other doesn't come into it .
I’m not sure I’d put this Leeds/Bradford thing up there with Sunderland/Newcastle, Blackburn/Burnley or a Sheffield derby.

I’ll say this and it’s only an observation, Leeds supporters I’ve met over my 50 years are not even arsed with Bradford. They’re local Leeds lads too. They spend the majority of their time rabid about other clubs.

A one sided rivalry is not a rivalry

I might have this wrong but I thought the sporting rivalry between the two cities was more relevant between the rugby league clubs?

I can remember seeing a set-to between Leeds and Bradford on Westgate Street once on a rugby league weekend. Both groups looked giving as good as they got. Big lumps too.

The football rivalry is non existent according to my Leeds mate. Bit of a local thing, nothing else.

As you know theres a decent percentage of Bradfordians' who support Leeds.

This partizan image youre trying to create of Bradford being a no go city for Leeds supporters and every inhabitant foaming at the mouth and rabid against Leeds is a figment of your imagination.

^^^^ This, there is a healthy rivalry in rugby league between Leeds, Castleford, Wakefield and when they were in super league Bradford Bulls, the Leeds/Cas rivalry is particularly intense atm but the one thing most of the above fans have in common is that a good percentage of them support Leeds United

People in Leeds, Castleford and Wakefield may well support Leeds but in Bradford they are very proud of their football club and can't stand Leeds

Before lockdown they were getting 16000 crowds

    Very partisan

Thats not correct , Bradford have very big crowds for a city that has such a very poor football team

They are very proud of their city , its culture and their football team

Leeds is known as the car park on the M62 by Bradfordians

Are you saying this doesn't happen ?

What do you think would happen if someone walked around Swansea in a Cardiff top ?

    Abuse at the very least

Its clearly not right and its laughable to suggest I would get a thrill out of it , but it happens

Do you think Sunderland fans go out at night in Newcastle with their mackem shirts on and dont get a hard time ?

You must be very wet behind the ears 👂
