    Knock Knock

Does anyone have a video doorbell?

I need a new bell and wondered whether the video doorbells are any good.

    Any help appreciated

    Re: Knock Knock

I don't have one but in my work I have been in contact with them and they seem to work for the owners.
As an xI've been asked to hold up ID for someone to look ast and they have seen its OK.

I assume they are looking all th time because otherise they are useless. If someone up to no good knows the video only works if they press the bell then they won't bother will they?

I've got a google nest thermostat. Love it. I've been looking at the nest doorbell. A bit pricey, but I'll probably pull the trigger sooner or later.

My daughter has got a Ring video doorbell. Works fine. Easy to set up. No wires unlike the camera she had on the last house.

Apparently the person who invented the door knocker won a Nobel prize.

I've just got an eufy one as some of the others required a subscription to store video, but eufy is all stores locally.
battery powered as well as I didn't want to have to mess around with wiring.
really good, I get a ln alert from my phone if the camera detects a human shaped figure, or if.someone presses the doorbell.

I have a Ring. It can go a bit funny at times and requires a yearly subscription to back up recordings but other than that it's very good.

    Thanks for the info.

it's good if you have a delivery when everyone is out, you can tell them where to put it - so to speak.

they can usually also link in with security cameras as well, so you can put one in the back of the house too
