There was heavy snow in South Yorkshire (again) from 6.00 pm yesterday. Then a slight melt. Then more snow. Then a freeze.
The roads are clear but most of the county is covered in snow and ice - with more snow forecast.
The Rotherham-Derby game was postponed last week for 24 hours because of a waterlogged pitch (I think the New York has undersoil heating) and the same could happen again the way the weather is going.
If it goes ahead this will be a tough old game. A draw would be a decent result here
I won't bother with my mystic meg crap
Rotherham are top scorers in the Championship in 2021.
Be very surprised if this match goes ahead
More heavy snow overnight. Snowing now.
Interesting summary of Coventry's injury/illness problems - 11 players in total.

If the Rotherham match does go ahead (big if) they will be missing keeper Jamal Blackman (self isolation) and midfielder Jamie Lindsey (hamstring in last match v Preston). I don't think they have got too many other key players out.
The sides could match each other up with a back 3 and wing backs.
Rotherham have been on a good run and playing well - but pound for pound we are (or should be) better.
We are very marginal favourites ATM.
Once again, I'm going to stick my neck out, and predict a City win - if the game goes ahead. I have my doubts.
What a commentary team, the accents, the bias, the bitterness, the birthday greetings, the having a baby shout outs, the harping on over the pelanty but not a word about their handballs in the box mind you they did drool over our winner a bit.
Surely it would be off by now wouldn’t it?
The last few hours have seen a slight melt in Sheffield (Rotherham will be the same) with some blue skies and a bit of sun although most fields, gardens and pavements are solid snow and ice. But now it is overcast again and a few flakes of snow coming down. It should start to freeze again in 2-3 hours. I am more confident the game will go ahead now than I was this morning - but there must still be a doubt.
Don't we usually get a time for the pitch inspection by now? I suppose it depends when Rotherham take the covers off and what else they do to stop the pitch freezing. No undersoil heating at the New York Stadium.
Amazed they build a new stadium without under soil heating these days

If that photo is from this afternoon (just posted by Rotherham on their website) the pitch looks OK if not frozen.
Traffic cams around Rotherham show the weather as dry and....sunny. Not much snow. Looks hopeful for the match going ahead as planned, tonight.
