    Thierry Henry for Bournemouth manager??

Bournemouth have spoken to Thierry Henry as they close in on appointing a new manager.

The Bournemouth board have been locked in meetings and interviews throughout the last two weeks as they look to replace Jason Tindall, who was sacked at the beginning of the month.

It's emerged that Arsenal legend Henry has become a late shock contender for the vacant position.

Henry is currently the head coach of MLS side CF Montreal.

Appointment , just before we meet them potentially, Henry may not be short term answer to their slump in this league , perhaps a good long term building plan appointment , who knows ?? he is very unproven as a Mgr in British football ??

McCarthy as Director of Football with Henry as Manager.
    That could work for us

I’d have Henry up front alongside Moore

Imagine that conversation over some moules marinières with Mick bringing the crusty French stick from Asda, to posh it up a bit 😀

I don't see the point in bringing in a young progressive manager and then having an old head as DoF, you either trust the manager or we don't. If the club want a DoF it needs to be someone along the same lines as the manager.

He was shocking at Monaco, with a record of 4 wins, 5 draws, and 11 defeats, from 20 games in charge.

Saw this today, must be so frustrating for amazing players to coach average ones

Part of the reason why he won't make it as a good manager. Like Mike Brearley said about Botham, he just couldn't understand how people couldn't bowl well all the time!

That strikes me as very poor coaching, moaning and criticism won't help his players and I can't see how he thinks sarcastically asking "can you do this?" mid game will help his players

Players taking too long on the ball and not playing the right pass/not turning the right way also suggests they've not been set up properly

His record for Monaco was dismal . Admittedly they were struggling long before he got there.

He always struck me as being the more relaxed pundit type rather than getting into the cutthroat, shark infested waters of management. Might he try and overcompensate for his natural laid back persona with an unnatural, forced type of aggression normally associated with managers?
