Barton and Pearson for the Bristol jobs

    Joey Barton for Bristol Rovers.

    Nigel Pearson for Bristol City

Former seems nailed on to be announced today. The latter is a strong possibility

It would be good if they can get a very hard fought draw out of Boro tonight - with a few red cards thrown in for luck.

Barton has the most incredible history of violence and causing disruption and it's a big gamble by Rovers by appointing him.

Pretty confident that it'll end in tears for Rovers, who I always think of as a "proper" club, and if Pearson can't get some consistency into a team which reminds of the Chopra/Bothroyd City side when it comes to being "streaky", no one will - I reckon he's a good appointment.
