Thread: What are the daftest chants you’ve heard down the City?

  1. #1

What are the daftest chants you’ve heard down the City?

    I’ll start us off::
    From the 70’s/80’s.
    “You’re going home in a fu*king ambulance!!”
Surely an ambulance would take you to a hospital, not your house ?

Another one from the earlier yrs:
“ You’ll never take the Grange end”
Where on earth would anyone put something that size if they did take !!

Grammatically untrue/daft yes but also one of the best chants for uniting the crowd and team before the game starts.

If you're judging chants based on their truthfulness you won't have much left to sort through.

‘Oh England Is Full of Shit’ grates on me, it should be ‘Oh When The Blues Go Marching/Steaming In’ as far as I’m concerned.

Anyone remember this beauty from the old Grangetown End?
‘If you’re feeling tired and weary
And you think you’ve lost your way
You’ll get your f*cking head kicked in
If you go down Tiger Bay
If you’re passing by the Grange End
You will hear our famous roar
    F*ck off you English bastards
    We’re Jimmy Scoular’s boys
    Oh, oh we’re Jimmy Scoular’s boys,Jimmy Scoular’s boys, Jimmy Scoular’s boys
Oh, oh we’re Jimmy Scoular’s boys.......

Dear God, there were some right cases on the proper Grangetown End.

If you had the wings of an eagle and the arse of a cow, you’d be one weird, ugly fecker
