I personally believe that a Test pitch should be prepared to last 4 or even five days but that's personal preference.
From an entertainment and commercial perspective it makes sense.

The fact that India have pitches that suit spin and England does not means that Indian batsmen are better prepared to face spin bowling than English batsmen is too simplistic, there has to be another reason for the annihilation.
Oh I know, let's blame the pitch.

India won the game by 10 (ten) wickets.
This is as big a hiding as you are ever likely to see in test cricket.

Perhaps India played really poorly in their first innings but put it right in the second.

People were saying after the second test where England lost, that whichever team bats first wins as the pitches will only deteriorate. Wrong!

More time in the nets preparing to face spin. Simples.
India got skittled and then only had to chase 49, the pressure is off. England had to set a score so had to stick around and score. Only one team has complained about a pitch in this series, and it wasn't England. Root took 5-8. The pitch was a joke, if you think it is acceptable, that's fine but if NZ or Pakistan served up that pitch, they'd get absolutely hammered. If Glammy did it, they'd get fined and docked points. India can do what they want but it doesn't make it right. Just how it isn't right that we will give India the greenest pitch anyone has ever seen this summer.

India though, get away with absolutely everything. Kohli has been seen to be screaming at umpires and gets away without any demerit points. The umpiring has been an absolute disgrace as well. It was so bad even Sunny Gavaskar couldn't think of a comeback when Agit said how bad England have had it.
