Do people really believe that the host team should make the game fair by playing to their guests' strengths?

I personally believe that a Test pitch should be prepared to last 4 or even five days but that's personal preference.
From an entertainment and commercial perspective it makes sense.

The fact that India have pitches that suit spin and England does not means that Indian batsmen are better prepared to face spin bowling than English batsmen is too simplistic, there has to be another reason for the annihilation.

India won the game by 10 (ten) wickets.
This is as big a hiding as you are ever likely to see in test cricket.

Perhaps India played really poorly in their first innings but put it right in the second.

People were saying after the second test where England lost, that whichever team bats first wins as the pitches will only deteriorate. Wrong!
