Thread: FT: SWANSEA CITY 0 - 1 CARDIFF CITY. Match thread

Re: SWANSEA CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread

We can enjoy three points and a really good weekend of results for getting us back into the play-off picture....

but at some point we're going to have to ask if we're really a Warnock club or not. Murphy at LB, Pack and Vaulks constantly giving the ball away and regularly committing niggly fouls, Moore knackered because he's dropping back to center-midfield then being asked to chase a hopeless ball into their corner flag etc. If football is all about results then today is a good day but, a Harry Wilson effort aside, I'm not sure we left our half in that second 45 minutes.

Second half non-stop defending - incredible stuff. Almost feel sorry for Swansea - well, not quite!

Terrible game, we really rode our luck there. But everyone battled like **** and all's well that end's well.

4 points off the play-offs. Now imagine where we'd be finishing this week if MM had used subs in the Stoke game when they were there for the taking.

Anyway, I'm sure there will be time over next couple of days to ask if this was good enough or not. Let's enjoy the result for now.

I thought the double was a forgone conclusion?

You’d have taken 4 points out of those 2 games

The bigger an issue the first double becomes , the tougher it gets for anyone to get it. City drove me mad in the second half as they kept on giving the ball straight back to the jacks, but the back three were tremendous, as were the wing backs. Credit to the whole team, they showed that they “got” the derby this time.

Brave rearguard action, everyone (almost) left everything on the pitch. Much better performance.

Fantastic City, patched up defence, feared the worst. Happy days get in there.

Should be looking at Cheltenham’s right back if Sang couldn’t get a game. Whole back 5 were outstanding!

Rorke's Drift at times, but it is scores on the door at the end of the day.
And that diving cheat Awey did not score.

City’s performance reflected Vaulks fitness. For 60 minutes we were in their faces & pressing high. Then he hit the wall & became ineffective, City dropped 20-30 yards as a result.

Outstanding effort by all involved. Great result ( thank feck)
