Having had a look at the results from Kenilworth Road, Madjedski Stadium and Ewood Park, the whole squad plus the manager , knew they were chasing a lost cause ,as the teams above them extended the already wide gap ,just a little more to an almost impregnable position.
On reflection, MM had done well to get something out of this squad, but in doing so, gave false hopes to the faithful who have missed walking up Leckwith Road on a Saturday afternoon. The same fans who knew that under Mr.Harris , they had a possibility of occupying a relegation spot ,come the middle of May.MM came along, steadied the ship, and at least pulled them away from the danger zone. For that much, Bluebird fans ought to be real grateful, .However, football is a results business and you are only as good as your last game.Unfortunately for MM ,his last game was embarrassing, as his players could have and should have done better.Six games to go, 18 points to play for, and a four hour coach journey home to ponder what he does next to appease the Bluebirds faithful, who believe they should be getting ready for another crack at the Promised Land.
