Channel 4 interviewed Gove shortly afterwards and said that when talking to people in the street they had not known it was one of the main Conservative webpages believing it instead to be a genuine fact-checking tool, presumably the implication being it had been deliberately misleading, but Gove said the Ipad showing a screen shot of the re-model could have been doctored and people know what the CCHQ twitter handle stood for anyway so majority wouldn't have been fooled.
I don't think many would be able to work out what the second C in CCHQ stands for so, imo, it's another example of how this government don't like how challenging Channel 4 have been recently which has probably contributed to todays decision.
