    Les McKeown

    Bay City Rollers

    RIP. Only 65.

Not a big fan of them but they were very successful early/mid 70’s

Bye Bye Leslie, Leslie Bye Bye. RIP, Christ young girls did go mad for them in the 70s.

Jeepers...what a talentless T***t...no real loss to society.

Why does everyone who dies have to get sympathy and platitudes?

I’m no fan but I wouldn’t have minded a slice of the action made out of selling 120 million records. I very much doubt the lads in the band had much of a slice of the action though but some bugger made a few bob out of their lack of talent.

Checkout the day they sent the wrong audience into the wrong studio. Look out for the old dear with the ear trumpet, and the one doing her knitting 😂😂

I sold many pairs of their trousers with the tartan down the side on Blackwood and Bessemer Road market back in the day.

I was at uni, young girls marched down the road past my flat, arm in arm, chanting
    "B-A-Y, B-A-Y
    With an R-O-LL-ERS
Bay City Rollers are the Best"

Christ it haunts me to this day.

They were huge in the summer of 75. Some of their stuff was catchy pop music.

I certainly didn’t admit it at the time but their version of ‘Bye, Bye Baby’ was pretty good and still definitely one to sing along to when it comes on the wireless in work.

Why is he talentless? He was a singer. He made a load of records and sang on several number one songs. He was part of a band that got to the very top. It's not nothing.

I've not watched this and I see Jimmy Saville weighs in with his opinion. but I think it's safe to say they were completely ripped off, probably by a combination of their record company and their paedophile manger.
