    Gommora (Series)

We don't have series 4 here yet but I'm put off watching by Ciro's murder.

What were they thinking? I mean I know it became a soap opera of death but he was the only character I remotely "liked".

Who are we supposed to empathize with in S4? Genny? They're having a laugh.

BTW the population of Naples must be almost zero based on the kill rate in S1-3. It was almost as bad as a killing field as the Cotswolds and Jersey.

I'm not sure how you can 'empathize' with Ciro. He strangled his Mrs on a beach and tortured and burned to death a 15 year old girl. I'm all for forgiveness but .....

But in all seriousness, I enjoyed S4. It takes a few detours with Genny attempting to go straight, but the body count keeps on rolling and there are some great plots.

It's just as gritty and realistic as ever, just doesn't quite hit the heights of S2/3 for my lira.

I suggest you watch the film Immortale, it’ll answer a lot of questions regarding Ciro. It’s on Sky box sets.

Don't watch until the end of series 4, though!

Sorry, forgot to mention that 👍🏻

Goes downhill rapidly in season 4 IMHO. Petty squabbles and gang wars with a wide array of poor acting performances. I gave up half way through it!

His mother would probably say that "He's not a bad lad, really".

The film has to be watched after S4. S5 being filmed now, which I believe will be the final series? For me, Gomorrah is up there with the best I’ve seen. Not far behind The Sopranos and The Wire.

    I know, it's addictive.

I feel like it should have ended after season 2. We don't have S4 here yet and I can't find the Immortale film on any of my streaming services.

    Definately (geddit?) on The Wire.

I rated Red Riding too. When Paddy Considine's character goes down I felt like all hope for humanity was lost.

Dont get put off by sub titles.

It is brilliant! S5 will be the last, gutted it’ll end, but at least it’s not being dragged out for too long like others.
I started watching the French series ‘Spiral’ on iPlayer. First series was good, but 2nd excellent. Am currently on S3, really enjoying it.
‘Dark’ , which is German, is also brilliant, but very confusing.
