    a winger to look at?

    seems like an interesting option. no idea how much he would cost, and it's always going to be a bit of a gamble how someone from the J league will translate to playing in Europe.
    posting good numbers going forward and defensively though which is good

    can't see McCarthy going for someone like that though as he's not Irish and 31

    I guess its about taking a punt on an unknown or a 31 year old who you will know deliver at this level .

    I don't think we've got any scouts in Asia and unlikely to send one out there based on data only. We were told before that we're looking to significantly reduce average age of the team under Harris and now that Mick's moved us away from that though not fully.

    If we get the next two years right - completing move away from Warnock's short-termism next year and promotion challenge year after - this club could have a really strong chance of staying in the premier league. If Mick does engage with the analytics then it's a sign we're heading in right direction.

    Who you can't sell on, won't improve, will want higher wages, still can't guarantee will preform and you're in the same situation a year or so later having to replace him
