Right now, there’s at least 17 Premier League teams who know they’ll be taking 6 points off the Bees next season. If they don’t , there’s something drastically wrong. Today they didn’t have to make much effort to win the game , thanks to the poor opposition they faced. Most of the Championship teams would have beat Swansea today, in a game which was eagerly anticipated, but a big anti climax. Like the Bluebirds, Brentford will have their one season of fun, losing more than they win. No football fan wants to see their team lose most weeks , which is what will happen. Will their fans care ? I doubt it. They waited long enough to get there, so will be just happy enough to see some football teams who they only see on tv. They can give their team all the encouragement they like, but they’ll soon find out , there’s no substitute for quality.
