Due any minute, he’s casually jogged from Porto to Nice.

Really hope we don’t regret taking this game.

It's a pragmatic and patient France team who want to peak for the finals of the competition...but we're knocking it around with confidence, pressing well and have had two decent chances to their half of one.

Decent first 20 from Wales against a French team which on paper look awesome.

Re: FRANCE v WALES. Match thread

    FFS penalty and red card.

Re: FRANCE v WALES. Match thread

Pen saved, but a sending off in a friendly?? Really?? France obviously want to test themselves against eleven, pointless dismissal in a warm up game, no good to either side, the pen was punishment enough.

Penalty yes, a red card, for that in a friendly?? The referee's an absolute twat

Penalty no, red card truly ludicrous - decisions like this are ruining football. The ref must have looked at the incident twenty times which would seem to indicate he had doubts about the handball and yet then he penalises us twice for what should never be seen as a handball.

I can see why the penalty was given then, put it like that. Red card absolute joke of a decision, especially in a friendly building up to the Euro's. I doubt even the French team would have wanted him sent off

Yes, I could see why it was given. It was given because the law as it’s applied now is an ass. The law seems to have been applied differently since VAR (a system that was supposed to have been introduced to correct “obvious errors”) was introduced. To use an analogy from another sport, it’s akin to them changing the LBW law so that you’re out just if it hits you on the foot when a decision is reviewed.

    Red card a Ridiculous decision.

The ref took forever, watched it a few dozen times all in slow motion which always looks worse and okay, it could have been a pelanty but never a red.

    And in a friendly

Did VAR check whether Benzema used his hand first in controlling the ball?

Do red cards carry over to the tournament?

    Friendly ruined FFS.

Danny Ward is exceptional at saving pens. Hennessey not guaranteed his place in the team. I hope Neko isn’t out of the opening game in the finals.

Red card one of the worst decisions I've seen in a long time. And as already said, ruined the game after 25 mins for both sides in a warm up for a huge competition. Great work ref you effing retard.
