    I'm old enough to remember when people would get all finger-waggy about the need to appreciate the artistry of, say, Jane Fonda or Barbra Streisand, regardless of their leftist politics. In a free society it was the proper and decent thing to do, we were told.

    No more. Now everything is viewed through the prism of political identity.

    How things have changed.

    Well there is being against the Vietnam war , which proved to be an insane disaster and being a racist which is what the lead singer of megadeth is
