Oooo more to come its reported :

The CCTV camera that ended Matt Hancock’s career was deliberately tampered with to “stitch up” the former Health Secretary, senior Whitehall insiders believe.

Where Hancock got it wrong was assuming that he was still needed as a human shield for Johnson. He wasn't and was dispensable. The rest of the Cabinet are human shields that can provide cover and distraction for the Prime Minister (Williamson, Patel. Jenrick.... all of them). Hancock - the lightning rod for Cummings' attacks - could easily be sacrificed once the right wing press and Tory backbenchers had achieved critical mass. It does nothing for Johnson's reputation or standing, but he is in the clear until the men in grey suits decide that he is too much of a liability and ensure he resigns too.
Tory politicians are back stabbing individuals .....of course that applies to a lot of politicians and those in business but the conservatives are masters of it

Labour have never been equally adept with the sharp blade. They are amateurs compared to the Tories. It took 4 years for the Labour machine to get rid of Corbyn - even with support from 90% of the PLP (the 'Chicken Coup' onwards), backing from 95% of the print and broadcast media, enthusiastic support from the Tory government and many parts of the state, and a series of Corbyn own goals to encourage them. If the powerbrokers in the Tory Party decide it is time for Johnson to go it will take about 4 hours - not 4 years!
