Appologies for any offence caused by my now deleted comment. It doesn't change my thoughts on the matter.
But when managing to annoy that many people so quickly, with a comment about a subject like that. I think its clear I overstepped the mark. Certainly didn't want to cause offence to that level, and probably should have thought twice about bringing in a sensitive subject like that.

But if they were playing away, they'd be in a bubble, so distancing oesn't apply.

    Had to go though.

What a tragedy for two families - far more important ramifications there than a mere change of health secretary.

I didn't read what you wrote on here before it was deleted, but I will say that I fully agree with it.

What an odd comment but fair play to chrisp for being big enough to admit he overstepped the mark.

After not reading his comments, i'd say that chris didn't overstep the mark and i fully endorse what he said. For me, the case is now closed.

Hancock only needs a couple more marriages and a few more affairs to be in the running to be elected as our next Prime Minister.

Apparently they have found a camera in the fire alarm in his cabinet office.
How did that get there and who put it there.
Look out for a remake of Candy goes to Hollywood.

Adultery is no longer a problem for Tory politicians - even if they have hypocritically got elected prattling on about 'family values' (whatever they are).

Most Tory politicians and advisors can also get away with overseeing a public health disaster (2020) and piously telling the public to do something that they are not doing themselves - even when they have suggested (for others) that the police should take action.

Where Hancock got it wrong was assuming that he was still needed as a human shield for Johnson. He wasn't and was dispensable. The rest of the Cabinet are human shields that can provide cover and distraction for the Prime Minister (Williamson, Patel. Jenrick.... all of them). Hancock - the lightning rod for Cummings' attacks - could easily be sacrificed once the right wing press and Tory backbenchers had achieved critical mass. It does nothing for Johnson's reputation or standing, but he is in the clear until the men in grey suits decide that he is too much of a liability and ensure he resigns too.
