Nice to see they used the Canton Hotel.

There you are, I missed that and I'm in there every Sunday.

Had to pause it to verify

Not sure you are their target audience Tony, old feckers need not apply

I think it might be. Back to Cosway next year. The kit isn't bad; thought it would look better with white shirts.

    As ever:
    It's too expensive.
There should be an option to buy one without the sponsorship.
And how about going back to "distressed blue" - would make us a bit more distinct to all the other teams in royal blue, although I can't think of many others in blue and navy.

Come on be honest, the noise accompanying the ad was dire as was the speed of the commercial. Now if we played at that pace it would be a different matter

My immediate thought as well 😂

I missed the pub because it was so fast

I'd grade it as a B for the shirt and an A- for the marketing. If I was being generous I could push that up to a B+.

But I need it to be an A+ shirt if it's going to cost me £55.

The dark blue gets a bit lost. It might’ve worked better with a white or yellow contrast - maybe a white collar and yellow stripes. Colour wise, its a bit like the one we had in the last promotion season.
The advert is a bit fast, so it’s hard to see the shirt - a bit like car adverts these days.
I don’t know who the artist is, but it would be nice if they could use a local one (regardless of genre).
Saying that, their target audience is not the old fogies buying the shirt, but the kid who’ll mither their parents and grandparent for a shirt, like toy adverts!
I do think the price is excessive. I appreciate that the club has lost out a lot during the pandemic, but they were already expensive. It’ll encourage me to wait until they sell them off, although I usually buy three or four over the season for my son, so the average cost per shirt comes down!

I've got mine somewhere still, in a bag with all my other shirts that haven't seen daylight in years.
Seem to remember it having Centenary Year commemorative dates on it? And the quality being appalling, and the sponsor completely peeled off. I quite liked the design though

I'll have you know it's a well known, verified fact, that old people buy all the shirts.

    Here's a link to it www.imoldandtalkoutmyarse.com

Not missed a BLUE home shirt since 1991 and I won’t stop now.

    Aim for you target audience
Yes, so the kids (who will love this) are the target audience, you're just the bank. Doesn't matter if you like it or not...

That doesn't fit the entitled narrative though..

I'd love us to have a Hummel kit. Blue & white at home, black & yellow away

Looking back through our kits and while they're all nice enough none of them are A+. If we're going to have a series of B grade kits can't we sell them for much cheaper?

Or is it a case that majority of the people who buy them will buy for this price and majority who don't buy won't buy for cheaper?

I don't mind that. I'm not into the collar. It's unnecessary. And kind of an affectation.

I love it, best shirt we've had for years. Looks like we're keeping last year's away kit as the third kit.
