It will be wonderful if the silent majority stick together on this, I hope we make our feelings known should there be booing if ‘taking the knee’ is still taking place when we get back in CCS. Ditch the silent majority tag with loud cheering of the players and a look of sneering disdain towards the racists.

I would like to think if a black lad from Grangetown playing for Wales was the victim of online racist abuse the response here would be similar

I would certainly hope it would be

Come on sludge. How many times was Ash lauded on here despite being a jack?

We don't suffer racism (as much). We are lucky.

wherever he’s from I don’t recall him ever being subject to racial abuse! I may be wrong tho.

Burton Road is always a good drink now Sludge, heading down towards West Didsbury. You'd appreciate the top end scrunt that permeate each and every bar.

The Baths are something else, always worth a visit.

Police investigating the vandalism of the Marcus Rashford mural in Withington say it is “not believed to be of a racial nature”.

People are too quick to say its racism before knowing the facts.
Still not acceptable but I think it would have been vandalised whatever the colour of the English players who missed their pens
It happened to Beckham when he got sent off against Argentina.

The police saying they do not believe it was racially motivated does not mean that it wasn't

    Re: Heartening story from Manchester.

The words written on the mural did not refer to Rashford's colour in any way. They referred to the fact that three players missed penalties for England. Okay, abuse is abuse, but this was not racist. The fact that the entire media was willing to report is as such, when it clearly wasn't, says more about them than anything else.

There was nothing racial about it at all so stop saying that it might have been.
It was all yo do with missing the penalty and nothing else.

Well the local community came out and said it was so surely the media were only reporting on what the community told them ?

I refer you to the reply above

What was written that you seem to know that some of us don't?

It could have been rival man City fans as that area is not far from the old maine Road?

Or it could have been someone who was racially motivated but didn't put his thoughts in what he wrote

If the police catch him you would think they will be able to suss him out

Its hardly surprising that just a few days after the on line racial abuse of these players a poster of one of these players being attacked leads people to draw the conclusion it was racially motivated

    I think that's a fair shout

The fact that it possibly wasn't will give those who throw around the terms woke , snowflake and all crap about a few smiles but that's all they will get as their agenda is clear

Why do you think everything is racially motivated??
    It's an obsession with you
If fact you are disappointed when it isn't racial.
Some people are just plain bad and I'm sure that if Grealish or Maguire or Foden had missed a penalty they would have received abuse. Colour had nothing to do with it
Missing the penalty had everything to do with it.
