The second sentence of your post is just not true. You haven't been listening to the scientific information. After two jabs, the main vaccines in this country are around 60-70% effective at stopping people getting Covid at all and 85-90% effective at stopping serious illness, hospitalisation and death. They also reduce transmission of the virus by at least 50%. There are groups of people who wont get these levels of protection due to medical treatments/conditions etc (the shielders) who make up around 5% of the total population but the vast majority of the remainder will get these levels of cover. It is therefore entirely sensible and reasonable that anyone who could have the jabs but cant be bothered should be barred from attending large events. Why should the vast majority who have done the right thing and protected themselves and other people, be placed at risk. Shielders and other vulnerable groups can also make their own decisions and protect themselves as they see fit, if and when attending such events.
