Thread: Cardiff Fans are just as bad as plastic

Cardiff Fans are just as bad as plastic

the Liverpool and Man U fans they complain about.

After years of complaining about a lack of youngsters coming through it seems we are not prepared to give them the time needed to mature.

A few poor pre season results and the usual suspects on here are getting themselves all hot and bothered.

I値l gladly take a couple of years of treading water if it means bringing a few of our talented youngsters through.

Sadly it seems some want to to bring them through and challenge for automatics at the same time. Absolutely delusional.

I think the main gripe is that the young players are being coached to play hoofball, rather than not being considered good enough.
The club needs management change - in the board as well as in the field.

Same ones who claimed they would rather play in league one than plsy in red. But now cry because we may not be promotion contenters.
Like the hypocrite club basher from another board who demands we spend to get players in but also bashes the club because of it's debt. Moaned about the academy for years now we have a few potential young players hoping to step up he more or less writes them off

Trollope tried it, struggled with it, got shot down for it and ultimately lost his job as it looked like we were drowning rather than treading water.

Question is, would people rather we stuck with him and the real risk of relegation for the promise of playing "better football"?

My memory ain't great these days but I don't remember many protesting much when he got the sack.

But are we going somewhere? Huddersfield struggled last year but have a plan going forward, Luton were midtable last year but have a plan going forward but what about us? Are we living season to season like we were under Dave Jones due to financial constraints or sacrificing future growth for chance of success today like under Warnock because of limited philosophy or are we doing something more?

It's tough because we don't have much money now but other teams have still been able to grow without parachute payments as long as they do smart things. And how come Warnock's changed his tune a bit at Boro - was it a Cardiff issue as much as a Warnock one?

I think we have done some good moves since Neil Harris came in but still too much based on who individuals know (if Mick and that former Arsenal guy go are we starting from scratch in terms of recruitment?) rather than something that can last going forward?

If you had actually bothered to watch any of the under 23 games last season, you would see how far from the truth your ridiculous statement above is. Steve Morrison and David Hughes are trying to get the younger players to play the right way and are bringing through a group of good young players, who need our support, not continual rubbishing by people like you.

Like all football fans isn't it? Grand plans, youngsters given a chance, all good until you realise you are mid table at best.

Fans want success watching good football and 11 local lads on the pitch, reality is somewhat different.

I think an element of longer term planning at the club would be nice but that all goes in the bin if you take your eye off the here and now. Feel we are putting a lot of hope in the experience of Mick being able to do something.

I知 on about when the young players are brought through to the first team, they are then coached to play hoofball.
    Apologies if that wasn稚 clear.

It seems to make no difference how they are coached in the academy and playing hoofball at first team level is not only ineffective, but also means that no one wants to buy our players except Warnock!

I'm all for youngsters being bought through but I want them bought through in a football system and not the hoofball system we look to be going for. I think that's most City fans frustration.

What's the point in that when they are then introduced into a hoofball system in the first team. You're an idiot.
