I do fancy a long overdue Cup run this season.
    Kinda missing Wembley.

A bit of a “meh” tie to be honest. Was hoping for away to Forest Green 😀

Personally I wish they wouldn’t waste their time.
Nothing to be gained compared to potential injuries and fatigue.

Stat alert. Every time we've played Brighton at home in any cup competition we've won 1-0.

Unfortunately, I was at the FAC3 game in 1971.
We cscored in about 3 minutes, then the game turned into a cure for insomnia.
Probably the worst game I ever attended.

C'mon bob, there have been far, far more boring games over the years, especially under Durban and during Hibbert's Reign of Terror. Even some extremely boring ones under Slade and even Warnock (the 0-0 draw with Huddersfield at home in the prem being just one example that comes to mind).

Agreed, better to withdraw from football and start a darts league up.

I've seen some shite games in my time, but believe me, that '71 cup game takes some beating. Memorable for the wrong reason.

After some of the City matches I've watched since the early 2000's I shudder to think about this one if it's the worst you've seen in 50 years

I was at two of them, the 1971 classic mentioned in this thread and a League Cup match at Ninian Park in the noughties. Not checked this, but I think it was won by a late goal by Whitts and it was played in the season Robbie Fowler kept on looking sharp in training. How many others have there been Eric?

What is the point in being a fan if you can't look forward to a possible cup run

That Huddersfield game was total pants! It was like two teams of performing seals with how long the ball was in the air! 😱

While we’re talking worst games, here’s another one with Brighton that was bloody awful.
