So if you were down the stadium and one of your mates said christ that female steward is a right babe , you would till him to stop being discriminatory ?
This is a joke , right ?
What about get your tits out for the lads .......extremely offensive and audible to loads of our female fans ......I would never sing that ........what would you do about that then ? 🤔
No , I just always found it ironic that the right on trendy blokes who were the ones on equal rights for women demos were the first to go on the pull given the opportunity
I remember one poster on here who put over that persona showing me a photo of his latest girlfriends genitals before a game
I mean if people want to look for the objectification of women ........christ that's deep ......then challenge get your tits out for the lads or links to porn sites or City fans girlfriends performing sex acts on shall we say various football messageboards
The clear inference of a I have been staring at Betty at number number 23 through the curtains all day is a piss take out of men who do that sort of thing , not a sexual object action of women
Meanwhile some people just think we should sit on our hands and ignore songs about child abuse sung by our own fans .
Aye, I’m sure, like that adult toys company you put me in touch with. Assured of the ultimate discreetness, everything delivered in a plain brown package. That was true but the big delivery van outside with ‘Sex Toy Delivery, Distance Not A Problem’ parked outside my house raised a few eyebrows.
Definitely rattled.
Can’t say I’ve heard the get your tits out for the lads chant for years and years. Football is far more inclusive of female supporters these days.
So the sex pest act is just parody and is not you in real life, just a joke? I imagine the ones chanting the Swansea song think the same. They don’t really believe all Swansea fans have been touched by their fathers. Well the majority of them I’d say anyway. Kids who don’t really know any better.
I’ve heard far worst chants in relation to Swansea. Gas a Jack, it’s my Astra and I’ll die if I want to and trampled by a horse. Did you ever challenge anyone chanting those songs?
Yes I often challenged people about those and other songs . At Leicester away under dave Jones a large section of our away support that Tuesday night were abusing the ex swans manager and suggesting he had kidnapped magazine Mc Cann , after the chant stopped I stood up and shouted out stop singing that song , it's a fecking disgrace . I didn't get battered and the song wasn't sung again that night . A small victory maybe but you gotta walk the walk sometimes.
As for there being far worse songs sung by Cardiff fans than the child abuse song I think if those are really your views you simply don't get it
It’s not the kids singing it ‘who don’t know any better’ though is it, (I’d say they aren’t all kids mind), it’s offensive to people, and even worse people who’ve been affected by such things, listening to it. It doesn’t wash citing previous disgusting songs and chants because that’s what they are ‘previous’. Time has moved on, it’s 2021 for Christ’s sake.
When Southampton fans were doing aeroplane gestures at St Mary's following the death of sala , a number of home fans were arrested and banned from Southampton games
There was widespread support for those bans
Here , singing songs about child abuse which definitely affects people directly or indirectly , and it's our fans who are doing it ........let Leeds United deal with Munich 58 chants against man United............and trying to get people to do something about it is met with the same tired old excuses
Its pathetic one-upmanship, this is a foul and abusive anti social chant , our fans are singing it , regularly , do something about it
Or cross the road , don't come up with feeble excuses , it's pathetic
this has been a interesting thread and shows how much society and football has changed over the last 20 years
Yes we all know that this chant is unacceptable in this day and age
The funny thing is we had a discussion on here about the " anti English songs " after the Barnsley game, it is offensive to our English fans, someone posted about his wife and friends view on it, I then posted about it from my side, take it too seriously and its offensive, take it for " crap football banter " and its just that
where do we draw the line with songs and chants ? ? ? We have always abused the Jacks, early 90's it was "gas a jack " or the horse sounds / songs, they were never acceptable either due to them being in such poor taste
no abusive chants / songs, just pro city ones, is that likely ? ?
for the record, if you don't know the words to this song, its not that easy to work it out, last game I took the girls, they couldn't work it out , my daughter sat next to me asked what the words were ( before the usual get excited and jump on this comment, it still doesn't make it acceptable )
I find the way some blokes talk about women offensive, wouldn't want my daughter around that type of talk or the people doing the talking.
Its an offensive chant, can't deny that, but if you're gonna be offended at that then you have to be offended at everything, there are things that people on here won't find offensive but others do, it's no different.
If we can't sing those songs (rightly so) because they are offensive, we shouldn't sing any other song that any person could find offensive. And reading this board, the list is endless, people are offended by a lot.
Please don't sing ANYTHING that ANYONE may find offensive.
I think with social media , cctv , football liason officers , club diversity officers etc we are hopefully more able to deal with it
I think that anti English chants are boring but if someone was ever nicked for singing that sort of stuff you have to be prepared to deal with it but I doubt it would ever happen .
I think further up the line is singing extremely offensive stuff regarding deaths of other clubs fans , players and child abuse , I think that's unacceptable
Anyway I am off to get ready for the game
Let's hope there is none of that silly chanting today and if people hear it they can report it to stewards or the club via the text service
