I went to that friendly, remember the Ajax fans were pretty bonkers.

Then they must have allowed City fans in the bob bank to go to the standing section as a load started running across the terracing.

All made for a surreal but good atmosphere for a friendly.

I think the club had Jay Bothroyd at the game too, think the 'lively' atmosphere convinced him to sign for us, could be wrong though.

Apparently the Cardiff City away kit was inspired by a day when the kick off of a televised match was delayed and they showed an episode of the Larry Grayson show.

Yes he was sat next to Peter Ridsdale and signed for us 3 days later.
