Thread: If we’re going to play hoofball

If we’re going to play hoofball

Why don’t we just do it properly

Our strengths are pretty obvious and as Gabbs said on the radio it’s predictable what’s going to happen. Punt from the back if goal kicks or goal kicks were easy for millwall as they just had to sit a little deeper and wait for the ball.

Could Morrison and Flint go up for every goal kick/keeper kick either side of Moore and play almost for territory with Pack and Ralls dropping back into those roles until they could switch during open play.

What’s the point of hoofing it to our smallest players?

Today's game was like two Neanderthals fighting over a rock cake.

In case you didn't realise, we won 3-1 🤷🏻

    Winning is everything

We don't have the players to play like big time Charlies

People should be allowed to constructively criticise even winning performances.

I don't want to watch football if its going to be hoofed about, but OP makes a fair point.

Football is all about winning games

Is it? Or is that merely your opinion?

For me, football is all about being entertained.

And performance. The more we progress, the easier it is for the opposition to deal with our style of play. It isn't sustainable, and if by some miracle we were promoted, it would be a miserable season, with the likes of Mighty Watford taking us apart.

That's the aim. But it's not ALL its about.

OP has an opinion on it, your reply "incase you didn't realise..." seems like his opinion doesn't matter just because we won.
We won't always win, but we'll always play dire football.

So you'd rather us play brilliant football and have lost 1-3 today?

Should keep my beak out, but where is that said?

Re: If we’re going to play hoofball

The players and staff are there purely to win the game. The fans pay to watch them, not tell them how to play. If someone doesnt fiind it entertaining, there are plenty of other things to do on a Saturday afternoon

It makes no odds to me. I didn’t go to the game or watch it on TV. But, in my opinion at least, football is very obviously about a whole lot more than just winning games.

Re: If we’re going to play hoofball

Even teams who play brilliant football get beat.

It's about winning as many games as you can.

I disagree but football is most certainly about differing opinions.

If football is merely about winning games, why do you support Cardiff City?

So whatn you're saying is, if someone has supported the team all their life they can't have an opinion, and if they don't like it, they should go to asda and do their weekly shop?
    Oh, tidy butt.

I am mortified if we play brilliantly and lose. It’s the worse feeling. Most of today was pretty awful but I’m happy tonight.

Imagine how people feel when we play terribly football AND lose.

Every team goes into the game to win, that's a fact. If winning isn't the ultimate aim then I don't know what is
