Having checked back to 20/21, we went five games without scoring a first half goal in 86/87, but we only scored three second half goals in that time. That was the season when we had that 5-4 win over Plymouth in the League Cup when we were 4-1 down at half time and the goal which got us a 1-0 win in the second leg came in the second half, so we only scored one first half goal in our first eight competitive matches, while managing eight after the break.
If you extend it to second half goals, then 57/58 has this season beat at the moment - we didn't score a second half goal then until our eleventh game and it was our ninth of the season.
Gavin Gordon scored 4 consecutively against Rushden. Earnshaw scored 4 consecutively against Gillingham.
Didn't Andy Campbell score 4 or 5 against Oldham
