I can remember the first time I heard In the Air Tonight as if it was yesterday, it was in the Rummer Tavern and someone played it on the juke box, I put 50 p in it straight away and played it ten times.

However, I’ve never listened to or watched up it before and got the reaction I did when I watched this video just now - talk about not knowing whether to laugh or cry! All I can say is that I’m in a much better mood now than I was before I played it.

I dare say quite a few of you will have seen this already, but, for those who haven’t, I heartily recommend it, there’s some great comments as well.

Here you go TLG, I always though Mark Gardiner was the talent but Andy Bells solo album is top notch.

It's got shades of clap your hands say yeah in it

You need to aim higher than that, have faith in yourself

I’ll try, but I’d rather guide my neighbour into his garage than listen to Andy Bell’s solo album.

Yeah, but you've caught up with it plenty of times since then haven't you - that reply was so Rick from the Young Ones by the way, bit before your time that mind wasn't it.

    How's the football going?

One nil now. Great ball down the flank, got in behind the defender, whipped the ball in for a downward header

I know it's pathetic of me and I should know better at my age, but when I hear the phrase "I can feel it coming in the air tonight" I childishly think Collins is singing about having a wank. And I really don't want that image in my head so try to avoid the song.

    Re: Life affirming.

Just asked the question when did "whatever" start being used on Google and it came back with;-

"The slang use of 'whatever' originated in the U.S. and was made popular-in teen movies such as Clueless in 1995, which starred Alicia Silverstone as a spoilt high school pupil. It has since gradually seeped into widespread use."

    as well as this;-

    Just thought I'd say.
