To compare that to Tarquin, Esme and Talulah blocking the M4 because of their radical beliefs in respect of climate change (when our country has made substantial positive moves in recent years and is far far better at this than others) is narcissistic and unreasonable.

Climate change is a critical topic, but you have to take people with you. This kind of action may work well with the Socialist Worker crowd, but in the real world it pisses people off, causes great disruption and turns people against the cause.

Personally I think the principle of properly insulating homes is absolutely critical; it helps us use less energy and theoretically saves consumers money too.

The issue is the way they go about it in a selfish way and also the way they ignore the progress made.

As stated; if they want to make a big difference then argue against imports from China, protest at the Chinese or Indian embasssy, support a home-grown agricultural sectors.

There is loads to do without f*****g over ordinary folk trying to live their lives.
You post all that and you probably think protesters have too much time on their hands! What do you do for a living again?
