No idea on anyone of those Bob.
Just wanted to say the one and only time I took my wife(then fiancee) was to the Blackburn game in 1968. Ended up 0-0.
Cant say I'm disappointed that she didnt want to go again though. Would have had to curb my language!

Not a lot happened in that game as I remember, probably a good game to take her to . Remember Adam Blacklaw was in goals for them and Keith Newton, who was in the England team for the 1970 World Cup was at full back.

80s is Gary Plumley. Who I think is/was married to Debbie Johnsey.

    60s Jim Fryatt?

    60s Stuart Metcalfe

    20s Jack Vale

By the way, my lad said Phil Brignull fell asleep in his seat during the second half last week.

    70s Bob Hatton, for Blackpool.

Lose this game, and Mick could be in trouble. It's a toughie against West Brom right after that, and so he could find himself having to beat Reading to keep his job. Especially with Fulham and Swansea in the following week. Five defeats in a row usually proves too much for Cousin Vinnie.

    90s Ashley Ward

Good stuff. The Bob Hatton question was a toughie, how did you come up with that one?

I figure the season is over already. I'm sure Mick said he just wanted to get something out of the game (ie a draw would be ok) after Saturday. Really Mick?

No doubt he'll set up the team really defensively. We had 4 centre halves on the pitch last Saturday. If he keeps Brown and plays McGuinness he'll manage 5 in the same team. He's dour. It's boring. It's awful to watch even when we win.

I never want us to lose but I'd take a heavy defeat in this one to get rid.

    Short and Ward are right.

In the last ten days or so, I discovered programmes from the 70s and 80s called the Kick Off Match (Granada) and the Big Game (Yorkshire) on You Tube and I've been watching them - one of the Granada ones featured Blackpool beating Blackburn 5-2 with Hatton scoring four (I think a few minutes of it may have appeared on the Big Match because it was a game I knew of) and the commentator said Hatton had just completed his fourth hat trick of the season - Blackpool were thinking more in terms of promotion at that time, but a poor end to the season saw them go down with a higher number of points than normal under what appeared dodgy circumstances.
