What decent manager is going to want to take over us with the state of the squad.

    Re: Mick McCarthy

In the end , the decision to build a squad with 1 x recognised left back(ok Giles may have originally been signed on loan to cover but offers more going forward ), no pace or wide players other than Giles in the squad and then doesn’t address the lack of a ball player / guile in the midfield but then also loans out his midfield summer signing in an already thin squad is the manager’s.
This wage shredding has also meant there is no depth to the squad and therefore he has to use young players to play in a way that is different to the U23s.

I guess we can’t afford and don’t want to sack him as we can’t afford to and he has followed the board’s remit to reduce the wage bill and use the academy.

Imagine people working out a brand of football that's been around longer than dinosaurs walked the earth.

It's great that we have so many good managers on ccmb

    God bless you all

Imagine pubs, work, schools, dinner tables etc not having a conversation on their opinions of football in general and then matters closer to their own club, that they've put in years and miles supporting. Back in your box ffs..

    Re: Mick McCarthy

    We could sack MM.

But does anyone really think the next appointment would be an improvement?

Its usually someone recommended to them or has a "safe pair of hands".

Felt before the Harris sacking that whilst he probably had to go, a year or so later we would be having similar conversations.

How dare people comment on the atrocious 5-1 embarrassment and complete lack of tactical awareness. Mike, please can people be made to show their coaching badges before commenting please?

THEY being the key word here

You threw all your toys out of the pram and stopped going because your daughter was bored

Now THATS the kind of fan we need when the going gets tough

    God bless ya

You may as well comment on the weather

    Well done

I think people who imagine we are going to attract a quality manager with our record of turning against the boss are simply not being realistic .

Maybe. But it's the kind of person we need in society. Choosing time with their kids on weekends over the football well done.

Our defence has been shite for a number of games but he sticks with them.
I wanted him to do well but he's another dinosaur who only has one way of playing he hasn't a clue..
    Get rid NOW
I just scrolled back the video interviews on the CCFC app back to MM's interview post Sheff Wed's thumping. Was quite the carbon copy of yesterday's interview - he doesn't know what's wrong he's had them doing everything he asks of them and giving it their all and when they've been doing that things have been going well he says. Asked you only made subs very late on didn't you feel like it was worth making a change a lot earlier he said yeah he did but he just felt the team he picked were good enough to win it so wanted to see them show that in the 2nd half so decided against making changes. He feels he doesn't know what has happened but asks maybe opposition now have gotten aware to their game and know what they've got to do to prepare for us now. Asked what happens if it continues he says well if we're not going up we definitely will have to start playing a lot of the youngsters with a view to next season now.

He was aware opposition had sussed us out then and we remain sussed out!

We have an entitlement to success at this club way above what we have actually ever historically achieved

And the pressure we put on the players and management is ridiculous

What pressure? A few people on a message board wanting better?

You are literally the person who argues with people on here who want better football, waffling on about the times we were in division 4 etc and we should be happy. Anyone who has a different view to that is being entitled in your eyes? Christ
