Prem referee. Must think there’ll be problems....not.
Funnily enough we have a decent record v the Baggies. Can see that changing tomorrow though. Definitely be goals in this.
    3-1 WBA

I hope we can keep it down to 3 !!!

We are piss poor, at the moment, worst I’ve seen in years

Hard to get motivated for this one, that being said it's the sort of game we'll turn in a stupidly good performance out of nowhere and get a result.

Fairly obvious to all we need a complete overhaul from this evening, team I'd go with:

    Smithies

    Sang
    Flint
    McGuinness (Morrison needs a rest)
    Bagan

    Ralls (if fit)
    Pack
    Bowen

    Evans
    Moore
    Giles (if fit)

Stupid results aside and Mick's preferred XI and tactics being used, City 0 - WBA 3.

    I completely agree with Bluetit
    Worst I’ve seen in years
I’m so fecked off with what I’m seeing I’m staying away
I’ve given my ticket away for tonight and I won’t be returning any time soon
It’s just so pathetic to watch !!!!!!

Does the recipient of your ticket know what they’re letting themselves in for? 🤣

Looking out the window, seeing the pouring rain, me thinks I’ll do the same and stay home.

Saturday at Blackburn totally drained any enthusiasm I had, out of me.

    It was utterly dire/dreadful/pathetic/gutless/shameful/etc, etc

    Lol I know
Wrong choice of name for this particular thread 😂
My usual positive disposition with my glass being half full instead of empty has slowly drained out of me these last few games 🥺
    I’m not alone either
My best mate who always comes to the games with me and the fellas that always sit around us have exactly the same attitude - disgust at what we’re witnessing on the pitch!!!
    There’s Champions league on tonight
Why get soaking wet and cold trudging up Sloper Rd to see this pathetic dross?
The tickets have actually been given to my mates teenage kids
Let’s hope and pray they’re not scarred for life lol 😂

Interesting to see what the (real) attendance will be, and the reaction of those that are there if they're watching a performance like the last few.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v W.B.A. Match thread

West brom are a direct team.
    we are a direct team
they have better players than us all over the pitch but we are definitely capable of getting a result.
the first goal is likely to be very important

It's my mate's first league game since moving back to Cardiff tonight, he's certainly picked a day for it!

Re: CARDIFF CITY v W.B.A. Match thread

    City 1-3 West Brom.

Think the home game factor will see us give it a go but West Brom's quality proving the difference and winning by an odd goal or two. Possibly nicking the third when we go more direct with late substitutions.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v W.B.A. Match thread

I really hope Ken Zohore plays for them.

    Give us a chance like....

Morrison is not fit he needs a rest hopefully the international break will see him back to his best - he's way off it at moment
Flint is exposed without a fit Morrison and I fear a right dicking if we go with a back 4 with Flint in it

Mick is not a gambler - he'll try to shut up shop tonight and pray for a break

I expect it will be a 5 at the back with

Ng, McGuiness, Flint, Nelson, Brown - perhaps the slowest defence since the Lee Baddley days

The midfield whoever he picks will be dreadful

Bacuna pack and Vaulks no doubt - who will be overrun as usual

    Up front Giles and Collins

He'll rest Moore to prove a point

Though I have no idea what the point is

Goalkeeper will be Phillips as he doesn't trust Smithies clearly and he'd be gone if any club out there showed any kind of interest.

    4-2 City 😆😆

Re: CARDIFF CITY v W.B.A. Match thread

    My prediction:

    Phillips

    Nelson McGuinness Flint Morrison Brown

    Vaulks Pack

    Bacuna Giles

    Collins

    Total football baby!

Is that a back 5 or a back 4 ? They'll need to be like a rock tonight.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v W.B.A. Match thread

    Match facts

    • Cardiff are unbeaten in their last six home league games against West Brom (W2 D4) since losing 2-0 in October 1974.
    • West Brom have won one of their last eight league games against Cardiff (D4 L3), a 4-2 home win under Slaven Bilic in October 2019.
    • Cardiff City have lost four of their last five Championship matches (W1), one more than they lost in their previous 26 (W12 D11 L3).
    • West Brom’s Karlan Grant scored their two goals in their 2-1 win over QPR in their last match – Grant had only scored once in his previous 27 league appearances before netting that brace.
    • Cardiff manager Mick McCarthy hasn’t faced West Brom in the league since February 2012, his last game as Wolves manager, a 5-1 defeat at Molineux.

I'm fairly convinced that, if they're all fit, McGuinness will only come in for Ng, not one of our 3 worldies at centre back

West brom play a different way to Coventry or Blackburn. they have better players than us though.
I think Mick will keep it largely the same

Lots in the mix tonight to effect the attendance , fuel worry , heavy rain ,late buses reduced in some areas ( Covid ) Trains ? poor form .

    One nil win to City
