Thread: Flynn - Next Cardiff manager ?

Re: Flynn - Next Cardiff manager ?

I'm hearing there is more to this.

Not claiming to be ITK but getting a few people mentioning he could be at City very soon.

Might be bullshit, it is easy to start stuff like this on WhatsApp and the like but still.

Personally I hope it is crap. I want better than Mick but doubt Flynn is it.

You spend too much time on Social Media.

    We wont appoint Flynn.

It's from mates and their sources.

They're probably reading this now pissing themselves. 😂

I'll be back if it happens to claim my crown.

Until that time file it under bullshit/dml.

Not from the fans, but within the club.

Clubs like Barsnley and Swansea have shown imagination in recent years with their appointments and yet we have fans clamouring for a league 2 manager, it's beyond me.
Swansea brought in Cooper who hadn't managed at championship level and this new fella wasn't that great at his last club..

Sounds like a good book title for someone

Not arsed about Russell Martin, I said earlier on I was talking about Cooper and Potter.

Flynn is the best manager Newport have ever had. If there are people at the club that don’t rate him, they need their head checking. He’s done an incredible job.

It is a giant leap, that is almost certainly too big, if he were to join us but anyone connected to Newport should be grateful to the work he’s done.

    Without a doubt.

Better than Len Ashurst? Took them to the 3rd tier and a European QF

Either that or some really dull, cheap, uninspiring appointment that no one wants, like Harris/Slade etc.

But definitely not something imaginative like an up and coming progressive footballing manager, even, dare I say it, from Europe.
Hughton will be too expensive. Although, he's almost a pensioner, so he's the right age.

I can't see what the difference would be between managing in the 4th Division or the 2nd. It's not like you need any special talent. You just need a brain. It's not like he's managing parks football. I'm sure 4th division players have egos, problems and dips in form. If anything, I would imagine it would be harder to manage less talented footballers.

You're assuming there players are less talented than ours which is a big assumption at the moment.

I’ve just been listening to Rob Phillips on Radio Wales
It’s Mike Flynn’s last game managing Newport this afternoon!!
Probably just a coincidence but could this be Mickey Mouses last game for us today?
    The plot thickens 🤔

He's left already. It was agreed he would leave with immediate effect yesterday afternoon rather than take charge for a last game today.

For two clubs who could be playing each other in the league next season?

Perhaps, if Bale signs in January
