Thread: The Many Saints of Newark

    The Many Saints of Newark

Who's seen it? I thought it was decent enough. It's not really "about" Tony Soprano though and we don't really find out much we didn't know already. Anyone else have any thoughts?

It’s in the cinemas. Not on any legal streams.

hey had James Gandolfino's son and this is the best they could do after more than 2 years in production? This was more about race relations in the 60s & 70s than anything else. So disappointing...I'll just watch the Soprano's again

Was very excited for this I'm hoping it ended for another movie so we can get some answers. Overall when it was near the end I thought it was just getting started loved the actors and acting but the storyline was garbage hope they do better..

Best team in the premier league of Wales, by far.

It's on HBO Max if you have that. It's a good and well-made film. You'll probably enjoy watching it. It's just ultimately unsatisfying.

    Never watched the sopranos.

Will it have aged well? Thinking of giving it a go.

I watched the box set with my son last year. Yeah it’s bloody brilliant. As good as anything I have ever watched. Give it a go. James Gandolfini is outstanding.

Saw it last Friday night in a cinema in Neath so if it's here it's everywhere - to quote Frank Sinatra.
Decent film if you had never seen the Sopranos, but I think you have to have seen the greatest series of all time if you really want to appreciate it.

I thought it was very good, definitely feels like there is a series of prequels in the making.

Definitely, there is still quite a time gap to cover.

It spent a bit too long scene setting for my money but I really enjoyed it. I thought Vera Farmiga as Livia was outstanding. Michael Gandolfini was spookily like his dad wien he pulled certain expressions

Me and the boy went to see it this evening.....really disappointing with a awful script and story line.

Started it, 3 episodes in and enjoyable so far, feel like it's building to something.

Having seen the memes of Neil Warnock looking like Tony's mum though now that's all I see during her scenes.
