If he's on the average Championship manager's salary of £850k, then it will prob. cost the club at least £1.5million to get rid of him ! The directors probably thought he'd done a good job last season, and not surprisingly thought it wise to hang onto him. However what wasn't wise, was expecting a very ordinary squad with limited ability to perform equally well when what little ability there was, has gone. I guess Mick expects this is his last decent job pay-wise, so having relegation on his CV isn't too much of a concern.
