Thread: Coaches not being replaced

    Coaches not being replaced

Really worrying now two coaches have left the
Club without being replaced (Rowberry and James McCarthy) seems the club is just being left to
    Rot ?

rowberry was a first team coach for us , would be strange to replace him while there is still uncertainty over the manager's position , as a new manager will often want to bring his own coaches

Rowberry might well be a big loss, not bothered at all about McCarthy though.

Rowberry only left a few days ago. Plus you cant stop a young coach from moving on to better himself and get a managerial position. It happens all the time.

Ironically it was only days ago McCarthy stated for the record he told Bamba he was sorry but he had a full complement of coaches!

    Re: Coaches not being replaced

It is interesting how different managers/coaches on the merry-go-round have different support set ups.

I think Mick has always moved about with just his one trusted assistant manager (Terry Connor now but Ian 'Taff' Evans before) but no other coaches.

Warnock recently has had Kevin Blackwell as assistant and Ronnie Jepson as first team coach but works with existing coaching staff (bigger coaching team) and goalkeeping coach - although Blackwell was a goalkeeper.

Mark Hughes always travelled with Mark Bowen as assistant and Eddie Niedzwiecki as goalkeeping coach but inherited other coaches.

The way we are going we will soon have the Steve Morison - Andy Dibble dream team as the only ones standing!

That would have been at the end of last season though, when we did. Happier times.

Couldn't afford to bring Bamba on the coaching staff but could afford to pay off Tomlin and sign Wintle only to loan him out. Opportunity missed to be able to add another centre back to our starting line up!

The manager didn’t want him, he picked his coaches, we have enough CBs.

Think of the dream though, 6 or 7 centre backs in the same line up

It's almost like people do things their own way.

As long as we hold onto one 'R' Steve Morison we will be okay.
