However, to get a Championship club promoted to the Premier League whilst spending around £10m on transfers, as Warnock did, is nothing short of a miracle, especially bearing in mind what state we were in when he arrived. He also brought us the ‘gems’ for nothing that were Bamba and Hoilett and reconnected the club to the fans, filling the stadium in the process. I will never forget that and am extremely grateful to him for what he did. Perhaps if he was still here now, we wouldn't be languishing close to relegation again, as we were before he arrived. A bit more respect and gratitude to Warnock from people like you wouldn't go amiss either. He was hounded by people on social media who have nothing better to do, who continually drag up money spent on Madine, Murphy etc and totally forget all the good that he did. Be careful what you wish for is the old adage and this is particularly true now that Harris & McCarthy have been and gone whilst being treated in the same way as Warnock was at the end of his tenure. No doubt the next manager, whoever he is, wont be welcomed with open arms either by some fans.
