It doesn’t matter who gets the job, the only objective facing a new manager is to keep the club in the championship at all costs. Right now, that’s all that’s going to matter. If the club goes down , they could be there for a while, trying to recover the situation to get back up. The youngsters coming through may be ok in a few years time, but what the club needs now are results to help them get up the table out of the danger zone.It looks to me as though Hull and Derby will occupy two positions, and it’s just a matter of who joins them. The old saying of “You Don’t win anything with kids”, is very true. It’s about time the more senior players pulled their finger out and led by example. It’s no good relying on youngsters.Like it or not, the season could define how the club shapes up over the next few years. That means not being in League One.
