You need to get 18/24 to pass, She got 14 so failed. She only gets 1 more attempt.
I’ve tried the Test 5 times this afternoon & passed only twice.
Some of the questions are truly ridiculous and some a total lottery.
The questions change with every attempt.
Try it. I think that many will get deported.

The gov website says you can take the test as many times as you need, but have to wait a week between each year and pay a fee each time. I have a family member who is preparing for this as well so just curious why your nephew's wife can only has one more attempt?

I've tried the practice tests quite a few times as have various family members. Most fail more than pass. Some of the questions are totally ridiculous.

Also we've always used the ones on this site to practise - seem to be slightly different:

    On my way with 17!

21/24. I suppose that allows me to come back?
I guessed correctly on a few, but some of the questions are just downright daft!

Same for me. Ridiculous questions though

19/24. And some of those 19 were random guesses.

Also, there's an incorrect answer in the quiz.

"There is no place in British society for extremism or intolerance."

The answer given as correct is: True

However, the correct answer should be: False - the place for extremism and intolerance is the House of Commons.

Just to see if I was a bit 'fluky' with my first attempt, I tried the second test and got 17.

One question was.. True or False:
"Everything you read in Hansard can be found online"?

Another... "How many members of the Scottish Parliament are there"?

    Bloody Nora!

Hansard has it's dedicated website: https://hansard.parliament.uk/

Has Commons and Lords records from 1802 to today!

Yes, how can this opinion be presented as fact? The government encourage it, the Home Secretary in particular.

It is if you decide to take it to court.

Oh, I'm not disputing that it exists. However, would you honestly expect someone from an overseas country to know the answer to that question?

True - it could be a civil offence if you refuse to pay your debts.

    But that wasn't the statement.

Most of us have owed money to banks, building societies, family or friends at one time or another. Owing money is not an offence.

A lot of the wording in that test is sloppy or loaded, apart from the bizarre choice of questions.

It seems a bit random. Are there study guidelines? I doubt many experienced drivers could pass the driving test questions without reading up on them first.

There can't be that many questions if so many people got the ski centre one.

Sounds like she didn't put the effort into revising.

    Whats the return policy

I don’t know how anyone could get that ski centre one right? Bizarre, it’s hardly something you would associate with the uk?
How many football pitches might be more apt

True! Thought it would be interesting to have the link. But yeah I don’t imagine many people even know what Hansard is
