Thread: City players you've seen out and about.

City players you've seen out and about.

The most recent one for me was Gunnarsson shortly before he left the club.

He was sat a few tables away from me in Wagamama with his family in Mill Lane.

One of my all time City heroes; John Buchanan In Hill Rise.
I couldn’t believe it was him walking towards me.
As I was a teenager at the time, I was trying to play it too cool, but he could see that I recognised and he smiled.
I don’t have many regrets in life, but I really look back at that moment and wish that I had stopped and said how good I thought he was.

Kav in Buzz shoe shop at the end of High Street arcade. I'd picked up my three girls after school and taken them into town because one of them wanted a pair of shoes. In strolls Kav with his wife and a toddler in a buggy. We just let them get on with it while him and me chatted football for ten or so minutes. Lovely bloke

Kav's son went to Danescourt school at the same time as my daughter. She saw him picking him up after school a few times but didn't appreciate that she was in the presence of a hero.

One of my daughters was in awe of him, as she was a season ticket holder with me, back then. She couldn't believe that a Cardiff City 'hero' of hers could just chat like a normal bloke, in a shoe shop

Robert Earnshaw on st Mary's street about 1am.
city were away that day and he'd scored the winner, I think he'd just got back to Cardiff and thought he'd go and soak up the adulation from the crowds. he was clearly stone cold sober and 95% of the drunk passers by had absolutely no idea who he was
