Madine was a Warnock panic buy and was a damp squib for us. I don't think anyone was comparing him to Hollett's contribution for us, it was just they both missed a penalty in added time against Wolves and Madine was hated for it while Holliett's miss was hardly ever mentioned. That's my recollection. But it's all history now anyway.

When I tried to stand for him at the time I got pelters from Bobby Dandruff who was incensed by him.

I can certainly agree that he did nothing for us as a player, but a lot of the criticism of him after the Wolves match was OTT
