Interesting documentary on the re-birth of Macclesfield FC

Away from the hype of the Premier League it's heartwarming to see what a club in the lower divisions means to their fans and community....

Enjoyed it, a good insight into buying a football club.

Robbie Savage had an air of David Brent about him.

    it was a good watch

not sure how football is sustainable at the lower leagues though

Macc are going to get similar crowds as they move up the leagues, so a similar income ( via gates, merch and match day income ) yet the players wages will increase a far bit

Players agents at level is just crazy

Sav came across well, has the passion which was great to see

You have summed him up perfectly.

I only read it as it was. We all make mistakes , even our illustrious warders.

Really enjoyed that. Will always remember Macclesfield as being one of those sides we always played as I was growing up when we were down in the old division 3. The way lower league football has been treated by the EFL is a disgrace but I'm glad to see them surviving.
