I had no choice. My NHS dentist went private and I looked for one for a year. I also buy the occasional coffee from Costa, worked in the private sector which was market driven and shop in Asda.

Do some research. Thousands of people can't get NHS dentistry, or the wait is so long that people are forced into going private. Same with plenty of routine operations, people have to use spire or bupa because they can't wait 2 years. That's not the fault of the public, but in part, the fault of successive cuts to NHS budgets and the fact that the NHS Dentistry budget was cut and reformed by none other than that 'Centrist' Blair government which made doing NHS work for Dentists not that profitable.

You're that dull that you can't see that working people are forced into being fleeced because of a poor health service that can't cope, the losers are working class people you absolute pleb.

Yup. Do you think that i want to pay out money like that? I phoned countless practices to get NHS treatment and i was told that there's a waiting list. I couldn't wait that long so had to go private, little choice. If i had a second property and was renting it out or had a 40 grand car on the drive, was profiteering off the back of fellow workers, then i'd say that your comments were fair. All i've done is pay through the nose for my health, which i resent, but it had to be done.

I was going to try and add a little banter here between two lefties but with just thought nah feck it, but there a serious angle to this thread and it wasn’t intentional it just developed, going slightly off topic, we are currently living with by far the biggest K**t to have governed the UK in my lifetime and by a substantial distance, making Blair and thatcher look like angels, I have a bit more to hate this K**t than the majority but have to essentially say nothing, that said, he walked into No.10 with a massive majority, and what’s worrying is that either him, or one of his fellow tyrannical k**ts would get another majority tomorrow, I’ve seen the recent polls but still think that they would walk it again on the day, I’ve not voted in a GE for a long time, I’ll admit I voted for Blair (its what you did from where I grew up) but I would ever never walk the 1200 yards again to a polling station to vote for anyone, the opposition to this K**t has been abysmal and seeing the row between the pair of you kinda sums it up for me, I don’t read this place as much as I used to so maybe it’s a set-up banter between you and I’ve missed it, I’m going to go out on a limb here and blame Corbyn, we’ve always had an extreme left, and maybe because we didn’t have social media and didn’t see it so much in the open, but the Corbyn tenure has seemed to have developed a very hateful & spiteful left of left, politics of envy and spite with the John and Jane doughs of this world resentful of having worked through their life, achieving nice homes, cars and holidays etc. for their efforts to be told by the far far left, you’re scum, and lacking socialist principles because you have the audacity to get a toothache fixed (just an example in this case), Corbyn is the Labour equivalent of Trump, a very divisive character, we’ve always had a gap between the have and have nots and I’m sure most people would want a better distribution of wealth but it isn’t going to happen, now, next week, next month, next year, this country however, does offer those who want to get up in the morning go to work and earn, an opportunity to build a little something for themselves and family but they are becoming resented and I would use the red wall loss as an example to add substance to my view on this, I think we need a left of centre Gov going forward but extreme left turning on the traditional left are just pushing more over to the other side when it comes to the privacy of the ballot box and I’m doubtful I’ll see another Red government with this continuing climate of hate, Tories are there for the taking, and no matter how much they grift, can seem to get away with anything, anyway enough of that shite, if you still float the trowel ?, I’ll have about 12/15 sq. mtr of plastering to be done in a few weeks’ time but unsure at the moment if I need the wall dot and dabbed 1st. Had a chippy in yesterday, couldn’t afford Nugent's rates😊

I supported Corbyn, although i can understand why some working class people may have felt marginalised by his policies. Thing is, i reckon that we are so far removed from what it feels like to be poor in this country yet there are millions of people who are in the shit with both people working. I reckon that we've lost sight of what's important.

Corbyn was never going to get a fair crack, not from the media or even his own party, it was always going to end badly, because i do believe that as a nation we have far too many selfish ***** on this island.

Still on the Trowel, although it's getting harder give me a shout mate and i'll sort it for you

    Re: Dental Appointments

Jesus. I thought it was bad here. I tried unsuccessfully to get one about a month ago for Friday the 19th because I have the day off. I then asked for a Saturday appointment and was shocked that they didn't have one until January. Doesn't seem so bad now.

Corbyn was an idiot . Its all very well saying you are going to do this and that but his past and the clowns he surrounded himself with were cannon fodder for the right wing

You could replace the Labour leader with the most charismatic bloke or woman on the planet and it wouldn't make any difference

The labour party is dead . Finished . The first strike was the krankies taking loads of seats in Scotland from Brown . The second was corbyn getting elected . The third was brexit .

It needs to be shot like a lame horse 🐎

From its ashes needs to emerge a moderate rainbow coalition for those who don't vote tory .....most of us ......to get behind

The liberals were battered by clegg , Labour is now also finished .

I admire people who still attend local Labour party meetings , I used to ......but it's just a place to hang out

There is not going to be a Labour government ever again . Its the end of the road .

It's 2021 and the country needs a new alternative to the Tories.

Sadly I can't see it happening . In 4 years time Starmer will be replaced by another stooge .I will vote Labour to try and keep out the tories but that's about it .

I continually feel like we need a new party, it just never seems to happen. This country is changing so rapidly the left or the right is just too one way or the other…..lots of people just can’t be arsed with either.

We need a middle ground , Liberal alternative to the Conservatives

    The Labour Party is finished
